Fluffy (Words - 408)
Behind the waterfall and over the ridge. Through the tunnel that lead to another world. The little saying always caused the youth to laugh in amusement as she and two of her Tokotas made their way through the fall colored forest. Another followed after them, but this large beast didn’t belong to Cassandra. He was instead another one of the many leases that she had brought along to train the two Tokis who to find the best type of treasure hidden within the wilds. Areniir was a lovely male merle barb that grumpily followed the group as they walked. He didn’t really want to be there. Rather, he wanted to be off by himself doing whatever he wanted, but his handler had other ideas. Helping those poor girl out and the two idiot Tokis that she brought alone. Sighs. Why did he have to be such a pushover? Moving behind the group the male grumbled unhappily as one of the Tokis glanced over their shoulder to spy the unhappy looking Tokota. Splatter didn’t much mind exploring with or without others. She loved the thrill of finding cool things and even more when she brought back some adorable little creatures. The last time she had strolled out by herself she managed to snag a cute little falcon as her gift to her handler. The birb was barely a year and had hurt his wing which was quickly fixed up thanks to her master. On Cassandra’s other side the young merle Toki Basker trotted along happily with his tongue flopped out while his tail swung back and forth. This was fun! He enjoyed spending time with his sibling and handler. The grumpy barb? Not so much. Areniir really needed to learn how to live a little and not be so grumbly toward others.
Pausing in her steps, Cassandra glanced around as she noted how quiet the forest had gotten. Something else was prowling around, but she had no clue what. “Come on you three. Let’s try the waterfall. I heard you can find arrowheads there.” Giving a sharp whistle she motioned for the others to follow as Cass headed off deeper into the forest. They’d all have to watch their backs though. The territory they were heading through was a bit more tetess to get through than other places. Right now she didn’t want anyone getting hurt by stepping in a hidden hole or getting attacked by a rabid animal.
